American Heart Association Book Policy
If you arrive with the 2016 ACLS book, you do not need to buy a book. If you arrive without a book (or have an outdated version), then you must buy one for $60. These are American Heart Association guidelines and every American Heart Association course has the same guidelines in the Bay Area & across the USA. Please note the current version of the ACLS class uses the 2015 AHA Guidelines; and the correct book has the 2016 copyright date inside the front cover.
Mandatory Precourse Test
Complete the mandatory precourse test, print it out, and bring with you to class. (Must access this on a computer or tablet, not a mobile device.) You must receive a score of 70% or better to take this class. Retake until you pass. You cannot attend without this precourse test printout.
CE Credits for Nurses & EMS
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16557, for 11 contact hours. EMS personnel also can receive CE credits for this course through CECBEMS.
